No. The Project is utilizing the entire property as the foundation and basement for the Tower which means all soil that is being excavated is being off-hauled and removed. There is not a risk that contaminated soil from outside the property is being brought in. At the same time, due to our entire volume of excavated soil being removed from the site and off-hauled to a proper facility, our property, downtown Oakland and its soil will be cleaner than it was before.
Some properties can benefit from trying to use imported fill material or reuse crushed concrete from a previous demolition but our Project naturally has no need for these strategies and they are not for consideration.
